Description

This six-hour training is required for all family child care providers, and child care centers are rquired to have one person on site at all times that has been trained in Medication Administration. Learn to administer medications, store them properly and accurately complete record keeping. Participants required to pass post exam and skills check; ID is required. If you have already taken the Medication Administration training in the past, you will not need to take it again. Our Medication Administration class is limited to 10 participants per class. There will be NO refunds. If you would like to transfer you must give 24 hours notice in advance. Medication can only be administered to a child in care by an individual who has completed the approved training.

This course will be offered in person at our Largo office. We are practicing the following registration requirements:

  • Participants must be fully vaccinated.
  • You will be required to present your vaccination card at check-in the day of the in person session.
  • Masks will be required for all.
  • We will practice social distancing.
  • The class is limited to 10 participants.

Important Enrollment Information
The Resource Center is proud of the training sessions that are developed and presented at PGCRC for the child care providers of Prince George’s County. We know that you are on the front line when it comes to preparing our children for school and for life, and we are grateful that you come to us for training. Our goal is for every training session to meet Maryland State Department of Education standards and be interesting, informative and high quality. In order to make our classes available to as many people as possible, all registration is on a first-come basis. Class size may be limited so early registration is always suggested. Register online at www.childresource.org for the best selection of classes. You may also download a registration form and mail or fax (301.772.8410). We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, checks or money orders. We do not accept cash. All payments and registrations must be received 24 hours in advance; we add a walk-in charge of $20 to registration fees on the day of the workshop. There are NO Refunds unless the class is cancelled by the Resource Center for low enrollment. You must request a transfer 24 hours in advance. Participants arriving late will not be admitted to the class and late arrivals are not eligible for a transfer or refund. And, even though we love children, only adults are admitted to our workshops. Certifi cates are only awarded to those participants who fully participate in the class and who pass the assessment for the training. Assessments are usually written but may be embedded in class participation activities. We are happy to offer technical assistance without charge to any provider who does not pass the assessment.
